The prevalent injustices and oppression the exist in our society are a daily reminder of why we should fight back. There are several injustices evidenced through the rampant land grabbing, illegal evictions, and corruption amongst others. These have led to loss of lives, destruction of homes and property, poor service delivery to say the least. In situations like these, amidst threats and intimidation from those in powerful positions, we see members of our communities courageously organizing and standing against this kind of oppression.

Solidarity Uganda continues to recognize these strategic, courageous, and progressive members of society who immensely contribute towards social and political change. No matter how small or grand the revolution, the values, and commitment of these individuals are crucial in the fight against injustice and oppression.
