Hello, I'm Martina, a PhD student in Design at Politecnico di Milano.
My doctoral research has the purpose of translating Machine Learning for Design education, and this questionnaire represents a preliminary and fundamental step to understand and map if and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently included in Design programmes around the world.

Please, note that here I use the term AI in its BROADEST SENSE, as the scientific discipline overarching several approaches and techniques (e.g. machine learning, machine reasoning, etc.) to encompass them all.
So, if your institution's Design programmes include any theoretical or practical content underneath the big umbrella of AI, even if they are only small parts of it (e.g. computer vision, natural language processing, neural networks, etc.), consider them within the definition "AI" or "AI-related knowledge" as it is stated in the questionnaire.
