The Tech Venture Workshop is the first of three programs in the new Tech Venture Program, which offers >$50,000 plus training, mentorship & more to commercialize NYU research. Learn more about the Technology Venture Program here: https://entrepreneur.nyu.edu/blog/2021/04/01/tvp/

As the first of the three programs, the Workshop is a three half-day program where faculty entrepreneurs and their PhD/postdoc teams learn to test the commercial potential of their research directly with customers and partners. Participating teams receive a $1,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, mentorship, and workshops on selecting the right market, customer segment, IP and more.

Teams who successfully complete all three days of the Workshop will receive NSF-lineage on their venture, making them eligible to apply for the NSF's I-Corps program. They will also be eligible to advance to the next phases of the Tech Venture Program, which comes with $50k in grant funding and another $15k in other benefits (legal, accounting, cloud hosting credits etc.).

Select teams who make a compelling case in their short application below will be invited to participate in a three half-day startup workshop for deep/frontier/bio tech technologies and teams. The workshop is open to current NYU faculty, PhD students/candidates, postdocs, researchers and their collaborators/co-founders, who are working on innovative technologies and ventures in fields such as biotech/life sciences, artificial intelligence, AR/VR, robotics, blockchain, material science, photonics, electronics, energy and quantum computing.

The final Workshop in Spring '21 will take place over three consecutive Fridays (and you must attend ALL three days):

May 14, 9am-2pm EST
May 21, 9am-2pm EST

Workshop applications are due Thursday, April 22nd. You will be notified of your acceptance to the Workshop by Tuesday, April 27th. NB: If you submit your application before April 22nd you may be notified of your selection earlier as well!
