Transdisciplinary Research Methods, November 3rd at 9:00am CEST. A meeting of the Tech&Animals Research Hub at the University of Haifa.
Abstract: Transdisciplinary research is an effective approach to address societal challenges (OECD report). It supports the integration of different perspectives and generates common goods that enhance our understanding of complex issues and contribute to societal problem solving. Transdisciplinary methods are needed to support the collaboration in heterogenous groups of experts from science and practice; e.g. to
- make different perspectives, assumptions, needs and expectations explicit and enter a dialogue,-  find a common language and jointly frame a problem,- generate knowledge that takes complexity into account,-  jointly explore ways to impact in science and society. After a brief introduction to transdisciplinary research and coproduction of knowledge, we jointly explore the method repertoire of the td-net toolbox and discuss the applicability of transdisciplinary tools and methods in your daily work.
