What Does Jesus Teach Us to Do? In this lesson on the top of page 4 of your booklet you will use the story you read in the last lesson to answer some problem situations. You need to think about what Jesus would say to these children in these problem situations. According to Jesus, how should they handle the situation based on the Sermon of the Mount speech that Jesus gave. Please write in a short answer to each of these situations.

Great job on completing this lesson!! Would you have acted like Jesus in these situations? It is important for us to ask ourselves that question. When we do that we are examining our conscience to see if we would do what is right and loving. As part of this examination of conscience we can ask ourselves questions like the ones you will find on the bottom of page 4 of your lesson. This examination process helps us to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and is referred to as our "Examination of Conscience" . It helps us to identify those things that we do that we need to ask forgiveness for during confession. As part of your Good News "Prayer Journal" craft you will also find an "Examination of Conscience" card that gives you even more questions to consider when examining your conscience before going to confession. Now that you have completed this section of the lesson go to your Together in Jesus sticker page and find the sticker for celebrating Reconciliation and place it in the appropriate place.
