The purpose of CBASE 2.0 is to engage teams of first year undergraduate students in diverse fields in content-relevant projects, under the mentorship of a knowledgeable mentor. The CBASE 2.0 Mentor program will leverage the expertise of undergraduate student leaders, graduate students, faculty, staff, and community members to play an active role in scaffolding and facilitating a CBASE 2.0 Project for a group of 5-10 first year undergraduate students within their discipline area. CBASE 2.0 Mentors will play a dynamic role in mentoring undergraduate students through all aspects of the project including: project design, project implementation, project reporting, and delivery of appropriate project deliverables.

-- Active mentorship with a mentor in your discipline field, and collaboration with 5-10 peers in your discipline field
-- Access to funding opportunities to support materials for the project (funding determination at the discretion of
 CBASE Staff)
-- Access to funding opportunities to attend and present at discipline-relevant conferences (funding determination at the discretion of CBASE Staff)
-- Opportunity to showcase CBASE 2.0 Project alongside CBASE 2.0 mentor at CSM Research Symposium or CSU-Pueblo Spring Student Symposium

Expectations for Involvement:
-- Collaborate with CBASE 2.0 Mentor through process of designing and implementing a project with SMART Goals in mind
(SMART = Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time Bound)
-- Attend weekly meetings with CBASE 2.0 team
-- Contribute approximately 2 hours a week towards CBASE 2.0 project
-- CBASE 2.0 teams will determine provide mutually-agreed deliverable plan (ex: presentation, poster, portfolio, written report) prior to project implementation
-- Maintain communication with CBASE Staff and relay any questions or concerns regarding EE Program or EE Mentor in a timely manner
