THE AYURVEDIC PRAKRUTI QUIZ 

Understanding who you are, from an ancient perspective.  The Prakruti Quiz  gathers information about your innate nature.  This serves as a basis to create optimal health and happiness.

The quiz is an inquiry into the proportion of each of the three principles (doshas) Vata, Pitta and Kapha - within your unique mind-body constitution.  

Answer each question as objectively as possible selecting the option that best describes yourself for most of your life, not necessarily in this moment or situationally.  If you're having a hard time doing so, try not to overthink it and select the option that best fits.

If you developed an illness in childhood or as an adult, think of how things were for you before that illness.  If more than one quality is applicable in each characteristic, choose the one that applies the most.

The Score 5's relate to the Vata dosha

The Score 3's relate to the Pitta dosha

The Score 1's relate to the Kapha dosha.

All three doshas are present in everyone to some degree. How they appear, and in what proportion, is what makes each person unique. Usually one or two doshas predominate, dictating your tendencies in mind and body.

The principle that received the highest score is the most predominant force in your overall mind-body make-up. Many people will have two dominant doshas where the scores are within a few points of each other. The principle that received the next highest score is the secondary force in your constitution.The lowest scoring principle, while still and active force in your mind-body physiology, is the least dominant in your particular constitution. Some people are also tri-doshic and have an equal balance of  Vata, Pitta and Kapha energies.
