Hello there!
Thank you for your interest in Performers!

Just as we did this year, we will be having two levels of competition teams - Level 1 and Level 2. Within these levels there will be multiple groups split by age and ability. This year Level 2 composed of the 'Performers Prep and Performers Apprentice' teams. Level 1 composed of 'Performers Mini, Junior, and Elite' teams.

Level 2 dancers will do 1 local competition next year, and is a smaller commitment. They will only be eligible for group dances with their entire team. These group dances will be learned during Saturday rehearsals in October/November.

Level 1 dancers will do 3 competitions, and is the program for more dedicated dancers. They will audition for the ability to do solos, duos, and trios, in addition to their group dances, within their auditions on May 4th. All dances will be learned in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rehearsals in October/November. Some dancers will have the opportunity to start learning dances at the end of August.

All Level 1 dancers are required to take their team class, the appropriate level ballet class, and one 'genre of choice' class. Level 2 dancers will be required to take their team class as well as a ballet class.

There will also be a tap only competition team for those who are ONLY interested in tap. There will not be an audition for this team, simply select your interest in performing tap on this form and we will gather teacher recommendations. Tap team members are only required to take tap.

Below, please note what you are interested in having your child audition for. Further information on your audition will be sent when we have received your information. A contract for the 2019-2020 season will be sent out along with that information to be reviewed and signed before the audition. Information about rehearsal requirements, parent contributions, and tentative Fall class times will be included in that follow-up email. This form is NOT a commitment to competition, just an interest form so we know who to send out information to. This audition is for ages 5 & up,  or kids who will be in K-12th grade during the 2019-2020 school year.

General time for auditions -

May 3rd - Optional Audition Practice class (5-6 for ages 5-7, 6-7:30 for ages 8+)
May 4th - Team Auditions (1pm and after)

Upon filling out this form, you are giving us the ability to send out a notice for recommendation from your child's dance teacher to let us know a bit more about their work ethic, behavior, and overall technique level. This recommendation will have an affect on their audition scores. Please only have your child audition if you are sure they are ready for the challenge, and you are ready for the time/financial commitment.
If you have any questions about your child's readiness, please feel free to approach your child's teacher after class!
