Ebenezer Competition Cheer Information:
This cheer season will be different than any other year. Please be ask, if you are not sure! I may not know the answer myself!! I will do my best to send out weekly, maybe even daily updates!

Being an EMS cheerleader carries a huge responsibility. Girls are expected to attend every practice, every game/competition, and fundraising events, as well as maintain their grades and meet all financial obligations. Due to circumstances, attendance requirements may be adjusted.

Tryouts will be held on July 29 and July 30, 2020, from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. A cheer and a dance will be taught. Evaluations of jumps and tumbling will occur. I am looking for running tumbling and standing tumbling. There will be no spotting at tryouts. Plans are for the team to be announced on July 31, 2020. This will be done on the Ebenezer Webpage.

Cheer fees for this year will be $100. This is due on Monday, August 10th. This fee will include competition fees and hairbows. Uniforms (skirt/top) will be issued to students and will be returned at the end of the season. Cheerleaders will be responsible for supplying their own solid white cheer shoes and no show socks.

(Parents): I understand by the very nature of the activity, cheerleading and gymnastics carry a risk of physical injury. No matter how careful the participant and coach are, how many spotters are used, or what landing surface is used, the risk cannot be eliminated. The risk of injury includes minor injuries such as muscle pulls, dislocation and broken bones. The risk also includes catastrophic injuries such as permanent paralysis or even death from landing or falls on the back, neck, or head. I understand these risks and will not hold Ebenezer Middle School, Effingham Co. Board of Education, or any of its personnel responsible in the case of accident or injury at any time. (initials) *
