Under the Canopy School - A Community Survey
Under the Canopy School (UTCS) is a nature based public Waldorf inspired Pre-K-Fifth school that connects students to each other and their community through active engagement with the natural environment. As an Oklahoma Public School, UTCS’s curriculum will meet all Oklahoma State Standards, with a rich and comprehensive educational program that goes well beyond these standards.
UTCS is influenced by the seven core principles of public Waldorf education providing an integrated and rigorous arts and outdoor-infused curriculum designed to meet each child in a developmentally appropriate way. This program is delivered by awakening within children an interest in and a love for their community and the natural world.

Under The Canopy is in the planning year of starting the school with a hopeful opening of Fall 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As the building of community is a core tenant of our school philosophy, we seek to understand what the community is needing.
