Includes the keynote speaker's presentation and writing workshop, breakout sessions, and lunch in SU's Dining Hall. Also, includes attendance at Virginia Emerging Filmmakers' Festival, and a showing and discussion led by our keynote presenter at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Winchester.
Project Write, the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project, SU’s Department of Media and Communication, and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema are teaming up to bring a day of screenwriting and production workshops to the area for the FIFTH year!
We are happy to announce that writer/actor/director Blayne Weaver will be this year's keynote speaker. Blayne has been a faculty presenter for the prior conferences, so we are excited to feature his experience as he shares how to turn challenges into creative riches!
Other established filmmakers and screenwriters will be part of the instruction, including Shenandoah University faculty Paul DiFranco.
Thanks to a grants from the Marion Park Lewis Foundation for Arts and additional funding from the Nora Roberts Foundation, we are able to offer this conference for the low price of $25. The National Endowment for the Arts also supports this conference.
