Verge Exhibit Submission Form

Verge Theater hosts exhibitions in our Gallery by Day ~ Theater by Night performance space located in the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture at 111 South Grand Avenue, Suite 107 C. We accept exhibit admissions from regionally and nationally recognized artists, emerging artists, juried and group exhibitions, and art from local youth.  

The exhibition program seeks to enhance the exhibition experience with live theatrical productions. To best represent your work, please be very careful to include all requested materials in your application.

PROPOSAL DETAILS

  • The proposal should include the title of your exhibition. This title may be amended up to the time it is required for printing. 
  • Describe the concept or theme of the work (Artist Statement).
  • Provide information about how the work helps provide the community with the opportunity to explore topics of cultural, artistic, and social relevance.
  • Identify any special equipment or other requirements you may need that may become an impediment to presenting this proposed exhibition.
  • Include details of any supplementary public programs or presentations. We encourage participants to also propose additional artist talks, panel discussions, or workshops geared toward engaging the general public.
  • Indicate whether the accompanying images of the proposed work are images you are proposing for the exhibition or are representative images only.

To submit you will need the following:

  • Brief Bio that includes your art education, exhibitions, awards, and biography. 
  • 5 – 10 images of work with corresponding numbered image script (if available).
  • Artist Statement on Exhibit. 

Digital Image Guidelines:

  • Resolution of 300 dpi or less; .jpeg format
  • Images must be labeled with title and your last name. 

PROPOSAL REVIEWS

Verge Theater’s Exhibit Committee reviews proposals throughout the year. The Verge will host a minimum of 6 exhibits in a calendar year.
