Unified Soccer pairs individuals with and without intellectual disabilities (ID) to train and compete on the same team.  This first session of Pick Up Unified Soccer will be a recreation league for Special Olympics Athletes and Unified Partners to come together, have fun and play soccer!  Unified Sports is a great way to engage people with ID, agency staff and high school students that want to be active and participate alongside each other as teammates in sports.

Everyone should come prepared to be active and provide their own skin guards.  All Athletes must have a current Special Olympics Maine medical and release (https://www.somaine.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/SOMaine-Athlete-Registration-Packet.pdf) on file with Special Olympics Maine prior to participation.  All Unified Partners must have current Special Olympics Maine Unified Partner release form (https://www.somaine.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/SOMaine-Volunteer-Registration-1.pdf) on file with Special Olympics Maine prior to participation.  All participants must complete the XL Sports Waiver form (https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/d2f557_a1321b1f48d549a5b259e2ced242abda.pdf) prior to participation.
