Our goal at the Emergence student org (more on Emergence below) is to start a campus-wide conversation to address the greatest challenges of our time, working to fill the gaps in Stanford’s student entrepreneurial ecosystem hindering mission-driven entrepreneurship in our community in order to pinpoint the greatest problems of our generation & tackle the existential threats we face in our shared future. In line with our goals, we invite you to join our inaugural student meetup to present your research to our community and/or learn about the research of others, providing benefits including but not limited to:

1. Raising awareness of your work & attracting interested fellow Stanford students to complement your team & accelerate your growth;
2. Exposure to the Emergence investor network, comprised of investors large and small, and laying the groundwork for potential investments;
3. Receiving feedback from experienced entrepreneurs;
4. Gaining exposure to Stanford faculty across various departments and the potential for cross-pollination;
5. The opportunity to win grants from Stanford's various entrepreneurship-related centers;
6. Connecting with like-minded students with whom you click to collaborate with on future endeavors.

We will be holding biweekly meetings with various exciting programs throughout the quarter, from pitch events to field trips and more! Make sure to indicate your interest in joining our mailing list via this form to stay updated about upcoming events.

More on Emergence: We’ve been working with seasoned Stanford faculty on a new initiative called Emergence (emergence.stanford.edu) with a mission to inspire, educate, equip, and support students and researchers to translate their research into impact in addressing global challenges in the health of our society and planet. We're excited to have witnessed the support of faculty and staff from various departments through a virtual convening for the new initiative, and have recently proceeded to kickstart the related student org branch of Emergence. As a student org, the main stakeholders are students like you & me, so I'd like to invite you to become a member of this new student org that we can all build & learn from together!
