Share your favorite recipe for our family cookbook! Recipes will be shared with students in partnership with Borderlands Food Rescue and campus wellness programs throughout the year. We encourage simple recipes for students just learning to cook and welcome recipes from all cuisines and countries.
The Borderlands Produce Rescue is operated by Produce on Wheels Without Waste which disperses 10 million pounds of fresh, rescued produce annually to communities at various sites throughout southern Arizona and the metropolitan Tucson and Phoenix service areas. The produce rescues are hosted throughout the year on multiple campus locations to connect students to affordable. Contribute $12 to shop for up to 70 pounds of fresh produce for your family or to share with neighbors, friends or someone in need. Produce on Wheels Without Waste is hosted by Changemaker Central at ASU which exists to create a university-wide culture that empowers students to apply their passion, knowledge and expertise to create innovative solutions to local, national and global challenges. They do this by providing the opportunities and resources to inspire, catalyze and sustain student-driven social change through community service, high-impact careers and social entrepreneurship.
