"LEADERS FOUNDATION CAMP (LFC) 8.0 - University Edition"

01 Background
============
The upcoming eighth “Leaders Foundation Camp - University Edition” will be the first of its kind, bringing local youths studying in Brunei and abroad, together towards not just capacity building, but moving forward via group discussions, forums and problem-solving workshops, along with sharing different ideas to be presented for future use.

02 Participant Eligibility
===================

The number of participants expected to join the camp is 100 participants. This camp is open to youth aged 17 to 28 years who have the following criteria:

 Medically Fit and able to participate fully throughout the programme

 Local University students
(UBD, UTB, UNISSA, Politeknik Brunei, KUPUSB)

 Local Students Studying Abroad
( Europe, Middle-East, ASEAN, Australia, etc)

 Local Private Colleges
(Kemuda Institute, Micronet International College, Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology, Laksamana College of Business, International Graduate Studies College)


03 Date and Venue
===============

This programme will be held for four days and three nights (4D3N) and participants are required to spend the night in a designated place. Implementation information for this programme is as follows:

Date : 10th - 13th December 2019 (Tuesday - Friday)
Venue : Tapak Perkhemahan Hutan Simpanan Berakas & Universiti Teknologi Brunei

04 Project Focus
==============

All participants will be grouped into groups of ten from different University or College. Each group will have to conduct AT LEAST ONE social enterprise project upon the completion of the programme in the local community. The main beneficiary of the project can be categorised based on the possible project focus as below:


A. Community Empowerment
******************************
Structural improvement, livelihood, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and skills training

B. Arts and Culture
*******************
Arts and handicraft project, traditional games, traditional culture, teaching music, dance and drama for the youth

C. Environmental Diversity
**************************
Agricultural business development, organic farmer, support farmers in rural villages, and conservation projects.

D. Education
*************
Project that boost the elementary school student’s literacy and numeracy, skills training for teachers, work with special needs children, teaching English for youth.


05 Registration
===============

Step 1 – Online Registration

Step 2 – Scholarship
All registered applicants are automatically entitled for scholarship provided by the programme partner.

Step 3 – Selection Process
Our selection committee will nominate 100 successful applicants based on the assessment criteria and requirement.

Step 4 - Result Out
Only 100 successful applicants will be contacted through emails or by phone.

Step 5 – Participant Briefing
Participants are required to attend the Participant Briefing on the 6th December 2019 to for brief explanation on camp preparation and important information that you must know prior to camp. Venue and Time for the briefing is to be confirmed.

Step 6– Programme Begins!
Participants will register atTapak Perkhemahan Hutan Simpanan Berakas during the 1st Day of Progamme and bring all the necessity that required throughout the programme. Participant’s checklist will be given during the briefing.
 
06 Scholarship
=====================

The scholarship is by default, available for ALL APPLICANTS that is funded by Our Programme Partner.  You are required to filling in the Online Registration form including answering the compulsory question and write a simple essay regards to the application.

07 Registration Deadlines

The application is due on 15th November 2019 by 11.59PM.
