Waiver for Session 2: Trauma-Based Yoga

I understand that this class is NOT a form of therapy NOR is it a substitute for therapy. I also understand that Sameera is NOT a yoga therapist.

I understand that there is no way to guarantee that I will NOT be triggered during a yoga class. Since triggers are complicated and can arise for multiple reasons - including from a yoga pose - I accept the risk that I may be triggered during class. I will try my best to give myself what I need during class, including rest.

I understand that I am taking this class at my own risk and there is always a chance of a physical injury during any exercise class. I understand that I will not hold Sameera Qureshi or Muslim Women For accountable (financially, legally, etc) for any injury that occurs during class and I accept the common risks that come with physical activity.

I understand that I need a yoga mat, and comfortable clothes to move in, for class. Yoga should not be practiced directly on hardwood or carpeted floor for safety reasons.

In regards to the waiver below, I certify that: *
Please note that your participation is entirely at the organizer's discretion. This is a space that necessitates personal accountability and respect for all. If you create undue harm for other participants, you will be asked to leave. *
Doha (Digital Director of Muslim Women For)  will be facilitating this space and she'll be doing 15-min chats with each participant to meet them! This is a time for you to ask her any questions you have about participating. After submitting this form, go to the link attached to put a meeting on her calendar. *
