Universal Credit research

CPAG is a independent charity. We want to understand the difficulties people face when they move to Universal Credit. We will use this evidence to make recommendations to the government about how Universal Credit can be improved.

Who can take part?

We are keen to speak to anyone who has received a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions informing them that they need to claim Universal Credit.

What does it involve?

We ask people to take part in a phone or online interview for approximately one hour. The interviewer will ask you about your experience of applying for Universal Credit (we are also interested to speak to you if you decided not to claim Universal Credit). Interview participants will receive a £25 voucher as a thank you for their time.

Will the information you collect be kept confidential?

Any information collected about you will be treated confidentially and anonymised. In exceptional circumstances, the interviewer may be duty-bound to share information, for example, if they are concerned about your safety or the safety of others.

How do I take part?

Fill in your contact details below and we will get back to you with more information and to arrange an interview date. You will have the chance to opt-out at any time.
