Percussion Application 2020

This form is for all students who desire to be a part of the Purple Pride Drumline OR Sideline in 2020.

Students who wish to be in the drumline must complete an audition or ask to be placed based.
Orchestra members are welcome to be in the drumline playing cymbals (no audition required) or in the sideline.
Band percussion members are welcome to be in the drumline or sideline.

Drumline audition: prepare the provided snare music on a drum, practice pad, table top, etc.  Send a video tape of your audition to jbopp@shps.org by the deadline.

If you prefer NOT to, or can not make a video audition, you can indicate that with the last question on this form and we will place you based on what we already know of your abilities.

There are 3 sections to the audition music.  A to B, B to C, C to end.  You can choose to play from the beginning to the end without a break, or pause in between each section.

Orchestra members and non-marching instruments or those with special considerations can choose, WITHOUT AUDITION, to be in the drumline and march on the field playing cymbals, OR to be in the sideline and NOT march on the field playing a variety of percussion instruments.
