What do the registration fees pay for?
These registration fees help pay for insurance, booking the grounds, equipment, social events, and other items used to organise and run the league.

How much do I need to pay?
Fees are due at the start of the season and are:
  • General members $150 (this includes new players)
  • Life Members $125 (if you have been awarded life membership)
  • Social Member $50 (non-playing legends).

What is SWBL about?

SWBL is about baseball for all. SWBL caters to all sporting abilities and runs skill sessions throughout the season. The SWBL social calendar is jam packed with a variety of fun events to keep you connected. As a league, SWBL recognises that gender isn't binary and welcomes trans, gender diverse, and intersex people as we work to reduce the barriers to participation in sport.

Need some help this season?
If the fees are a barrier to your participation, or you have any questions about registration fees or payment, please contact the 2023 SWBL Committee at info@swbl.org. We can consider fee waivers, lower fees, or fee payment on a schedule. Our priority is to make community sport accessible to all.

WARNING ABOUT THE RISKS OF BASEBALL: The rules and procedures issued by the Sydney Women’s Baseball League (SWBL) are designed to maximise the enjoyment, fairness and safety of our game. Officials and players should be aware that baseball, like all sports, will always have inherent risks, such as from balls that are hit or thrown, or collisions with other players. Care should be taken by all concerned to minimise these risks through the use of appropriate equipment (including protective equipment), proper training methods and awareness of risks. *
Required
INDEMNITY: I agree to abide by the constitution, rules and by-laws of SWBL available on the website (www.swbl.org) or upon request. I grant SWBL or a committee member the authority to seek ambulance and/or medical attention for me if required. I agree to indemnify SWBL against all claims, liabilities, proceedings, losses, damages, fees and expenses incurred, or arising out of, or in connection with, or in consequences of the membership, attendance, activity, game, meeting or social activity that I am involved in. Players who participate in games while intoxicated (alcohol or other illicit drugs) forfeit their right to player’s insurance. I agree not to take the field under these circumstances. Baseball is a physical sport: you should seek medical advice if you have any prior conditions. Please sign below that you have read and agree with the Indemnity, you are aware of the Inherent Dangers of Baseball, and that the information you have provided in this form is true and accurate. *

SWBL CODE of CONDUCT

As a member of the Sydney Women's Baseball League, I agree wholeheartedly with the following statements:
*
  • I respect my coordinators, coaches, umpires and committee members. I appreciate that they're volunteers who give their time to the League so that we can all have fun on the day and at social events.
  • I also respect my team members, other League members and spectators.
  • I'll display good sportspersonship at all times, i.e. fair play and goodwill. At the end of the day, it's a game, not a life and death situation.
  • I'll be friendly, courteous and always hear what the other person has to say (even if I don't agree).
  • I will always follow the appropriate channels should my team need to challenge decisions, i.e. via team captain, coach or coordinator and understand that I may not always get my way.
  • I will never insult, criticise, verbally abuse or sexually harass any members or spectators.
  • I will never resort to physical threats or actions in response to a situation. For example, no hat throwing, no bat flinging, no poking people in the chest or getting in their personal space. I acknowledge that any occurrence will be directed to the SWBL Committee and that the umpire has the authority to immediately eject me from the game.
  • I'm happy to pitch in and help, and do my duties, when required. All with a smile on my face.
  • I won't drink alcohol or take other substances before or during my game.
  • I acknowledge that it's my team's responsibility to keep our spectators behaviour under control, and that the plate umpire has the right to step in, if required.
  • And finally, I'll be proud to be a SWBL member. And I'll have FUN doing it.
If any member breaches the Code

When a breach occurs, it must be reported to the SWBL Committee within 7 days. Please understand that the Committee reserves the right to remove any member of the League from the competition should a breach occur. (So it's in everyone’s best interest to play nice, all the time.)
