LVHS Cheer Tryout Application 2024-2025
This form must be submitted PRIOR to the tryout meeting on Monday, February 5 at 6:30 pm in the LVHS MAC.

By submitting this application, you are formally submitting your name to be a part of the 2024-2025 Lago Vista Cheerleading selection process. The requirements below will be reviewed in detail and all paperwork will be distributed at the tryout meeting. 

In order to be eligible to try out, you must:
1. Attend (or send a representative to) the tryout meeting on Monday, February 5 at 6:30 PM in the MAC.
2. Meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the LVHS Cheer Constitution.
3. Return a signed tryout contract by Wednesday, February 28.
4. Attend all tryout clinic and formal evaluation dates. (Exceptional cases must be submitted in writing prior to February 28)

Important Dates:
Monday, February 5 (6:30 PM- LVHS MAC): Tryout Information Meeting
Wednesday, February 28- Signed Tryout Contract DUE to Coach Baugh, Coach Kudrna, or campus front office
Sunday, March 3 (4-7 PM- LVHS Aux Gym): Tryout Clinic
Monday, March 4 (6-8 PM- LVHS Aux Gym): Tryout Clinic
Wednesday, March 6 (7-9 AM- LVHS Aux Gym): Tryout Clinic (Students will be excused from class and transportation back to LVMS will be provided to current 8th graders)
Thursday, March 7 (6:30 PM- LVHS Aux Gym): Formal Evaluations

Please note that if you are NOT currently enrolled at Lago Vista ISD, you will need to submit a letter of explanation to Coach Baugh at kbaugh@lagovistaisd.net explaining your situation in detail.  This should include an anticipated enrollment date and the reason that you will be enrolling at Lago Vista ISD in the future. Coach Baugh, Coach Kudrna, and the LVHS administration will consider the letter of explanation and inform the candidate whether or not they are eligible for a tryout.  If selected, candidates will have to fulfill all financial and practice attendance requirements, even if they fall before the date of enrollment.  Please email Coach Baugh with any questions.
