The objective of Girls Run Our World (GROW) is to educate and empower girls at an early age in order to prevent them from participating in risky activities in the future. Those risky activities may include but are not limited to, eating disorders, low self-esteem, sedentary lifestyle, peer pressure, negative self-talk, and bullying others. GROW is a positive youth development program that combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and choosing a healthy lifestyle in preteen girls. The core curriculum addresses many aspects of the girls’ development...their physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Lessons provide girls with the tools to make positive decisions and to avoid risky adolescent behaviors in the future.
