We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to be mentors and role models for our youth.

𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗝𝗢𝗕 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Mentor (Volunteer)
𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Part Time, 3 hours per week
𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: Highschool Diploma or Higher
𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Islamic Community Centre of Ontario (ICCO) - 2550 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga, ON
Time: Friday evenings from 6pm to 8 pm
Date: October 15, 2021 to December 10, 2021

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
- Mentor a group of 8 - 10 children/youth
- Be a role model for youth
- Adhere to Islamic morals and character
- Build positive relationships with the children/youth
- Deliver material in a creative, engaging, and INTERACTIVE method according to group needs
- Coordinate tasks and responsibilities with co-mentor
- Attend a mentor meeting once a month to further develop skills and provide input


𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:
- Age 18 - 30
- Have a strong understanding of Islamic values and etiquette
- Have solid Islamic knowledge and understanding
- Provide a Vulnerable Record Check from your local police service
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skill
- Have required technology (ie. computer, internet connection) and suitable space to conduct sessions
- Responsible, punctual, outgoing and friendly while demonstrating a willingness to learn
- Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills
