King's Bridge Landing; 1041 Bethel Road (VA Scenic Byway 360); Halifax, Virginia
(Further directions - Landing is one mile north of the Halifax Courthouse on Hwy 360)
Outdoor seating will be extremely limited.  Suggest that participants bring their own chairs.

Cordially invite you to a commemoration of the 241th Anniversary of General Greene's Historic Crossing of the Dan (Saturday).  
This year we also will commemorate the 241 Anniversary of Greene's Banister Encampment (Friday).
the South Boston - Halifax County Museum is hosting an historical program on the Race to the Dan (Thursday).

The Crossing of the Dan, now accorded national status by the NSSAR, commemorates the momentous retreat of General Nathanael Greene's American army through the Carolinas during the American Revolution and its narrow escape across the Dan River before British troops under Lord Cornwallis.
