SCPS is in the process of planning for the 2021-2022 school year.  With uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking parents of current SCPS Virtual Academy students their intent for instruction next school year.  

Plans are subject to change based on case numbers in our area and directives put in place by local, state, and national leaders.

SCPS Kindergarten - 7th Grade Virtual Academy will follow strict criteria for participation during the 2021/2022 school year to include but not limited to:

- Completed application
- Reliable internet service at all locations the student will complete school work
- Complete parent support and commitment to picking up materials weekly at a school site
- 2020/2021 Virtual Academy teacher/administrator recommendation
- Commitment for the entire 2021/2022 school year
- Success with 2020/2021 remote/virtual assignments

Enrollment in SCPS K - 7 Virtual Academy is limited.  We are pleased to be able to offer this instructional option provided by SCPS.    The deadline for existing SCPS Virtual Academy student is May 7.  The application process will be open to other SCPS students beginning May 10.  Expression of interest does not guarantee placement in the Virtual Academy.  All applications and support documents will be reviewed by a Virtual Academy Enrollment Committee.  Parents will be notified by SCPS of acceptance into the 2021-2022 Virtual Academy.  
 
SCPS reserves the right to resume in-person learning at any time for any student who is not demonstrating success through the virtual learning option.
