ChildrenSong is looking forward to offering rehearsals and performances in person for the Fall 2021 season!

Singers will be required to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines. Please be advised that some venues will require all choristers (12+) to be vaccinated. Our older choristers have been asked to sing at a care facility, but only if they are vaccinated. As a result, we will be requesting that all choristers over the age of 12 advise of their vaccination status. Our staff will be speaking individually with each family of choristers 12+ regarding vaccination status. Thank you for your understanding and anticipated cooperation.

All new and returning singers must complete this registrations form for the Fall season.

REHEARSALS
The choir will most likely hold rehearsals at Lutheran Church of Our Savior at 204 Wayne Ave in Haddonfield during the Fall 2021 season. Enter through the main doors and go up the stairs to the SANCTUARY. There is also an elevator if needed.

TUITION - Tuition rates below are for the Fall 2021 season (Sept-Dec):
Children's Choir (3rd - 5th grade) $250.00
Youth Choir (6th - 8th grade) $250.00
Cantate Choir (9th - 12th grade) $250.00

Rehearsal times are as follows:
Children's Choir (3rd - 5th grade) - 5:30-6:30pm
Youth Choir (6th - 8th grade) - 6:30-7:30pm
Cantate Singers (9th - 12th grade) - 7:30-8:30pm

Saturday (once a month) rehearsal times:
Cantate Singers: 8:00-9:00am
Youth Choir: 9:00-10:00am
Children's Choir: 10:00-11:00am

Payments can be made via personal check made payable to ChildrenSong of NJ (turn in at the first season choir rehearsal) or Venmo @ChildrenSong. We will collect tuition for the Spring choir season in late December/early January.

ATTIRE
All choir members must have a ChildrenSong blue polo shirt and plain black pants and shoes (purchased on your own) for various performances and events throughout the season. The Children's Choir (grades 3-5) will wear blue polo and plain black pants and black shoes for ALL performances. It is important to note that the polo shirt must be able to be tucked into trouser-type pants or solid black jeans (no tears or holes). Leggings and stretchy pants are not acceptable because the shirt does not tuck into them well.

New choir members receive a new ChildrenSong blue polo shirt with the cost of their tuition. Any returning choir members who need a blue polo shirt (due to loss or outgrowth) may turn their current shirt in for a gently used polo shirt (pending availability). If you prefer a new polo shirt, the cost is $25.

New formal attire is being reviewed for grades 6-12. Cost will be about $60.

Code of Conduct and Commitment to ChildrenSong *

We fully understand the strong commitment to ChildrenSong and the need to commit to one complete semester, for which we are registered.

If we need to miss a rehearsal, parent or singer should request a copy of the missed rehearsal to review what was learned.

Singers are expected to make "smart choices" during Zoom rehearsal. Poor behavior will be addressed one-on-one after rehearsal and parents will be contacted. Continued misbehavior will result in dismissal from the choir.

We grant ChildrenSong permission to record Zoom rehearsals or take pictures of rehearsals and post on Social Media

Once a singer submits a recording for a virtual choir performance, it becomes property of ChildrenSong of New Jersey. The Artistic Director has the right to use or not use whole or part of the recording if it is not prepared to standard. However, we will have at least one recording where every voice will be included in the performance.
