SEE-US Student Interest Form
SEE–US stands for Socially/Emotionally Empowered–Unapologetically Smoke-Free. Our mission is to educate, train, and mobilize Black women on Historically Black College and University (HBCU) campuses to fight against the tobacco industry and its deadly products.

Over the course of 6-weeks, students learn the history of the tobacco control movement, examine the media’s role in tobacco/vaping promotion and use, COVID-19’s role, and learn more about its impact on their health. Students are equipped with an advocacy skill toolkit and learn to actively engage in storytelling, advocacy, grassroots organizing, and base-building. Ultimately, the cohort produces a real-world project they activate on their HBCU campus. This initiative is a paid opportunity and requires commitment and participation from the selected students.

The cohort begins the week of July 4th through the week of August 8th. All sessions will be conducted virtually with opportunities for in-person engagement.
