Different Perspectives - Visit Kinfolk House and explore how artists’ draw on the cityscapes and homes from their lives. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on and share about important spaces in their own lives through close-looking, conversation, and art-making.

Fashionable Expression - Is fashion art? How do we use fashion as a form of self-expression? Students will examine artworks that use fabric and other woven materials to explore strength, courage, and beauty. Then, your class can use fabric scraps to collage their own fashion design

Mindful Messages - Artists tell stories through visual art and sometimes they use text in their work. Tour our current exhibition see how local artist Deyah Stewart uses powerful words in her pieces. Through observation and discussion, students will learn that artworks are filled with messages. Students will investigate the stories behind the art and walk away with their own mindful messages to take into the world.
