We are looking at offering residents a menu of options for diverting food waste from the trash. 

Food waste includes apples cores, banana peels, watermelon rinds, eggshells, uneaten leftovers, and more. It's the largest portion of our trash and can be diverted from the landfill to make compost to enrich the soil.

Giveaway Rules
Responses must be submitted by April 7, 2024, at midnight. To participate, entrants must be at least 18 years old and a resident of New Bedford or Dartmouth.

We will randomly select four winners from New Bedford and four winners from Dartmouth who submit complete entry forms. When the prize is picked up, each winner will need to show proof of residency. We may share the first name and last initial of the winners on websites, social media, and press releases.

Employees of the following entities are NOT eligible to enter: City of New Bedford Department of Facilities and Fleet Management, Town of Dartmouth Department of Public Works, and the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District.
