How to Draw Everything: Observation and Expression: Saturday, May 2 - May 30, 2020, 8:00-9:30am (5 weeks)  - T. W. Wood Gallery
Instructor: Glen Coburn Hutcheson
Cost: $145 non-members, $135 members

This class is an overview of drawing from observation. Over the course of 5 one-and-a-half-hour sessions, we’ll draw portraits, landscapes, still life, and the human figure. Exercises will be based on the work of contemporary or modern artists, like “the Botero game” introducing deliberate girth distortion, and “theGiacometti process” in which students follow imaginary, wandering paths over the form they’re drawing. The class will focus on practice, and students will draw constantly, producing several pieces during each session. It will be serious play: fun but not easy.
