Camp Requirement: Your child is about to become a game developer. For your child to have this experience, your child MUST have his/her own laptop device (not tablet). The laptop must be brought each day, as design and development takes place every day.  The camp does not have the ability to provide laptop devices for campers. Your child will not be able to participate in the camp without a laptop device. Chromebooks, Windows laptops, and Mac laptops are all permitted devices

How much coding experience does the camper have? There is no requirement. We welcome beginners! This is just to understand your child's level of knowledge entering the camp. (Scale: someone who is considered experienced would have taken one or more coding classes or workshops. ) *

MOBILE DEVICE PURCHASE (Optional). The students in this camp will be using an online tool called MakeCode Arcade to develop their games. While students can develop and play their games on their own laptop, there is an option for campers to also play their game on a portable device that they assemble during the week. This has an additional cost of $75. Below is a video link demonstrating this device to give your child an idea of what it looks like.
