Because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Community Seed Library located at James Madison University's Carrier Library is currently closed to the public. We would still like to get vegetable and flower seeds into the hands of our community members, so we are offering a pick-up option. Seeds are offered free of charge and based on what we have in our inventory.

Please complete the form below to request seeds from JMU's Community Seed Library. Note that we have not listed out specific varieties. If you have a specific request, please make a note and we will do our best to accommodate or find something close. For ease of processing, seed packets contain roughly 20 seeds. Because of dwindling supply (a good sign!), we are limiting requests to 2 packets per seed type.  

Please indicate any specifications for variety in the notes.

Once your request is received, we will reach out to schedule a time for you to pick up your order. We will also provide the pick up location at that time. We will not begin processing your order until you confirm the pick-up time.

We are taking safety precautions while processing your seeds in light of COVID-19. This includes wearing gloves and a mask while preparing your order. Doors to the porch pick-up area will be left open to minimize contact with surfaces. Pick-up times will be scheduled so they do not overlap.
