BME Grad Program QE Letter of Intent
Please use this form to let the BME Graduate Program at Stony Brook University known that you intend to take the qualifying exam and that you agree to the following terms:

I understand that the research proposal that will be submitted will be my original work and will be written in its entirety by me. I am declaring that no portion(s) of the proposal will be copied from existing proposals, existing publications, existing solutions to the PIBE QE or any other work, unless the original work was prepared in its entirety by me. I also declare that no portions of my PIBE QE solution will be written and/or edited by my dissertation advisor, members of my dissertation committee or any other members of the faculty. I acknowledge that any acts of plagiarism or other academic integrity violations will result in an immediate failure of the PIBE QE and that if this is the second failure of the PIBE QE, I will be dismissed from the PIBE Ph.D. program.

I understand that the PIBE QE examination runs for approximately 6 weeks and that I may be responsible for lab projects, teaching assistant duties and academic work during this time, in addition to the QE.

I understand that if I have any questions regarding the PIBE QE and my solution, my first point of contact is the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program Director.
