Safehaven Café Referral Form
Safehaven Café is a 5-week well-being café for parents with pre-school aged children who need help with their mental health and general well-being. We run 5-week courses, aiming to facilitate friendship and learning as well as hot, healthy food for parents with pre-school aged children who need help particularly with depression, anxiety, self-esteem and isolation. Our supervised children's activities enable parents to learn together and get to know themselves and others in a safe and friendly environment through practical workshops.

We are particularly seeking to help families who may not be accessing other groups or services, recognising that these families are often the ones most at need, and the ones for whom a sense of community can have a great impact. Please consider this when making referrals. If you want to ask any questions about a referral, please email laura.houghton@openheaven.org.

We will aim to contact you ASAP to notify you of the outcome of this referral. If we have reached capacity for a course we will consider referrals for future courses. More information is available on our website - www.openheaven.org/safehavencafe

Safehaven Café runs on Wednesday lunch times at the St Peter's Centre on Storer Road. We will be meeting in the Main Hall on the ground floor, which can be accessed via our main entrance. Someone from our volunteer team will direct you to the correct space. There is ramp access to the building.

This information will be used for the purpose of Safehaven Café only and we will not share this information with any other agencies. If the individual being referred requests to see this information, we will be open and honest in sharing the referral form information with them. We will ensure the suitable and safe storage of this information under the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the safe disposal  of this record within the appropriate timescales.
