MBPS offers Mini Ball to students in years 3 and 4. The competition is run over Terms 1 & 2 and games are played at the Breakers Basketball Training Centre in Mairangi Bay.
As well as playing a basketball game each week, students will have a short coaching clinic with Breakers coaches before each game every week.

When - Year 3/4 play Friday afternoon during Terms 1 and 2.

Game time changes each week. The earliest start time is 3:45 pm and the last game is always finished by 7:30 pm.

Training - Short training sessions are offered before the game by Breakers coaches. Extra training can be booked in using the school hall or basketball court. This is organised by the team coach/manager with the school office.

Year 3/4 students play with a 9 foot high hoop and use a size 5 ball.

In order to run a successful Basketball programme we require each team to have a coach and manager, please consider volunteering.

I have read and will follow the Murrays Bay Primary School Fair Play Promise. Students are expected to grow in their understanding that competing means not only striving to win, but conducting themselves in a way which will bring credit to themselves, their families and their school. At the start of the year students will bring home a copy of our Murrays Bay School Fairplay Promise to discuss with you. All students who participate in Mid Bays or After School sport are required to sign the Fairplay Promise along with you, as a commitment to these values. see website http://www.murraysbay.school.nz/curriculum/sports/ *
