Based only on what we know now, should the Calgary Flames extend Noah Hanifin? *
Based on available info, assume Hanifin's cap hit on an extension would be higher than his current $4.95M.
Based only on what we know now, should the Calgary Flames extend Elias Lindholm? *
Based on available info, assume Lindholm's cap hit on an extension would be in the ~$9M range.
If the Flames could only/had to extend one of their UFAs, which player would you most like to see extended beyond the end of the current season? *
Understanding the risks of placing Dan Vladar on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the Wranglers and bringing Dustin Wolf up to the Flames, would you support the Flames placing Vladar on waivers? *
The primary risk with a move like this is that another team could claim Dan Vladar. In either case (clearing waivers or being claimed by another team), the Flames would alleviate themselves of Vladar's cap hit.
If the Calgary Flames are not in a position to contend for a playoff spot around the holidays of the 2023-24 season, would you support a "rebuild" of the roster?   *
Please keep in mind that a rebuild does NOT mean that the Calgary Flames will be able to trade players like Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau and that buying out either of their contracts in the near future is also unlikely. Please consider the fact that rebuilding likely means missing the playoffs for several years and moving on from players like Elias Lindholm, Noah Hanifin, Chris Tanev, and others.
Which Calgary Flames prospect are you most excited about? *
In your own words, please describe how you feel about the Calgary Flames. This is your space to express whatever you like in relation to the Flames, whether to do with none or all of the topics covered in the questions above.
This response is not required, but is what will provide quotes in your own words for future Flame For Thought material.
