SHEngineers is looking for experienced female engineers (+7 years experience) who are passionate about improving the representation of women in engineering by dedicating their time to mentor aspiring female engineering students & young professionals.
What is the role of a mentor?
1. Help engineering students & young professionals navigate their journey towards a successful career in
engineering
2. Support engineering students & young professionals in their transition to joining the workforce
3. Provide career advice & guidance based on your personal experience as a woman in engineering.
Please note all engagements are to be done virtually, which means you can do this from the comfort of your own home/office.
What does this commitment entail?
1. 1-hour video call a month, or 3 hours quarterly based on your preference, using your preferred communication platform
2. Minimum duration 1 year, starting January 2021 (can be extended upon mutual agreement)
3. Mentors may be involved in ad hoc initiatives such as mentorship circles & virtual talks, participation not mandatory
4. Where possible, provide vacation work, internships or job shadow opportunities or share career opportunities.
