We are so excited for you to join us at Friendswood Methodist MOPS & MOMSNext! During this unprecedented time, we know community is more important than ever. Even as we all navigate this new normal, 2020-2021 is going to be an amazing year to connect with other local moms. Whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome here. Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, foster mom, stepmom or any other type of mom, you are welcome here. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers (and infants) and MOMSNext serves mothers of school-aged kids, both provide a Christian community that gathers and supports moms.
Registration dates are as follows:
- April 25: current members only (register by Wednesday, April 29 for priority and to guarantee your spot)
- April 30: 2019-20 waitlisted moms, Friendswood Methodist church members, Bright Beginnings families
- May 8: open to everyone
We meet on most 1st and 3rd Wednesdays September to May from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm and usually have moms night out on the 5th Wednesday (when those occur). The first meeting is scheduled tentatively for September 2 and the last meeting is May 5. There are no meetings scheduled for December 16 or May 19 but these days are set aside as make-up days due to cancelling a meeting for weather, school closures, etc.
The dues structure has changed a little this year and the only thing due right now is for your MOPS International dues. $31.95 is due NOW to MOPS International using code T57A at
www.mops.org/joinIn addition to the MOPS International dues above, our local dues are $75 which includes speaker fees, craft supplies, some moms night outs expenses, etc. If you are in a position to pay, you can make payment in full at $75.
Payment can be made by check made out to Friendswood Methodist with MOPS/MOMSnext in the memo and mailed to 110 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546. Due to the current social distancing protocols, please MAIL in payment ONLY. (Take advantage of your bank's online bill payment feature and have them mail and pay for the stamp as an alternative!)
