The Grant Writing Pool is a monthly gathering of ethical communities and organizations wishing to increase their impact on the world. Sharing information about upcoming grants, sample grant language, sample deliverables and assistance with budgets, our goal is to increase your capacity to fund projects and programs that affirm the worth and dignity of life in your community. Led by Curt Collier, an Ethical Culture Leader and ethical biocentist who has 20+ years experience writing grants to fund multiple organizations, we can assist you with grants of all sizes from micro-grants to larger collaborations. The Bergen Ethical Culture Society has been very successful in finding grants to fund youth employment programs, STEM enrichment programs for High Schoolers (and raising science literacy), funding climate change awareness projects, speaker's series on church/state separation, funding environmental restoration projects, working on projects to preserve public spaces, and developing Sunday School curriculum.
The Pool meets the second Wednesday of each month from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, November 8th through June 12th. Registration is required and the cost of the pool is $200 per organization. This fee allows your organization to have at least three people in the zoom meeting each month. Discounts for some organizations are available by emailing curt@ethicalfocus.org.
