This installment we will be reading "Black Opera: History, Power, Engagement" by Naomi André.

We will then go onto books about the history of race in classical music, art, and the music industry. We believe that by gaining a better understanding of our past and present, we can take informed action as musicians, educators, and community leaders.

This is a safe space for learning and we all come to this bookclub with the mindset that we are here to listen and learn.
