Welcome to our scholarship application for the
2024 BIPOC Climbing Retreat at Smith Rock,
June 29-20, 2024 with
Everybody Climbs, OR's first owned and operated Latino rock guiding company. While we are excited to camp, climb, and build community and memories with you, we acknowledge the various economic barriers to climbing safely in the outdoors. Everybody Climbs and CCOC are teaming up to provide a limited number of scholarships to help reduce economic barriers to climbing while also fostering community. Funding for this program comes in part from the Arc'teryx Community Grant.
Who should apply: Applicants who need financial assistance are encouraged to fill out this form to request a portion of the tuition they need covered in order to participate.
What about other costs? All climbing gear will be provided by Everybody Climbs if you do not have gear. All camping gear can be loaned or rented at the student discount rate at OSU (if you need assistance here, apply to the
CCOC LEVEL UP Scholarship). For transportation, we will be organizing carpools to and from Smith Rock. The campsite fee may be split among participants.
Process: Applications will be reviewed by the CCOC and Everybody Climbs scholarship committee and scholarships will be offered by May 12th.
Post-Clinic: Scholarship Awardees will be expected to share a photo and short blurb describing their experience which will then be shared on the CCOC and Everybody Climbs Social Medias. Thank you for reading and applying.
