**** ESSENTIAL TOOLS****
In an effort to provide continuity of learning, we will be using various digital tools during our distance learning instructional lessons. When using any digital tool, students will learn about safe and effective practices. Video Conferencing tools, such as Google Meet and Zoom allow for live or recorded lessons. Teachers will use these tools to provide virtual lessons to students. Recordings will not include student faces, and when possible will not include voices.

ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN LIVE LESSONS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD TO USE VIDEO AND/OR AUDIO DURING THESE LESSONS, YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE APPROPRIATE OPTION ON THIS FORM. It is the responsibility of the parent/student to make sure the student does not enable prohibited features.

Additionally, Prince George’s County Public Schools and CMIT South MS/HS students have G Suite accounts and will use Edmodo as their main interaction tool for instruction.

****SUPPLEMENTARY TOOLS****
Teachers and students may choose to use other approved supplementary tools during instruction.

Video Conferencing Tools Used in Distance Learning

Video Conferencing tools, such as Google Meet and Zoom allow for live or recorded lessons. Teachers will use these tools to provide virtual lessons to students. If you do not want your child to participate with audio and/or video during the live, virtual lessons, then you will need to check the option on this form which states that you do not give your child permission to use audio and/or video during the live virtual lessons.
