Meet with other cooking enthusiasts during our new cooking club. The Spice of the Month Club is a monthly program featuring a variety of unique spices, herbs, or bends. The spice of the month club is a great way to try out new spices and share recipes and ideas with other home cooks! Members can pick up a sample packet of each month's spice, some recipes that feature that spice, and a little bit of history about it. On the second Saturday of the month, the group will meet at 4:00 PM at the library to discuss their experiences and share recipes. Members are welcome to bring tasting samples to meetings, but it is not necessary to participate. Registration and kit pick-up will run Oct 22- Nov 12 for the Nov 12th meeting and Nov 12- Dec 10 for the Dec 10th meeting.
Included in each monthly kit will be:
Information about the featured spice, its history, and a few fun facts.
6 simple recipe suggestions.
A packet of the featured spice with enough for a recipe or two. (Nov- Herbs de Provence)
Once you have created your culinary masterpiece at home, we’d love you to share your successes (and failures), opinions, food samples, tips, and love (or not) of the spice at the next group meeting. Spice of the Month is for adults, kits are free but supplies are limited.
As soon as you have registered here you can pick up your kit at the library.
