Pride Entry: We can provide up to 100 volunteers with free Pride admission on the day of their shift. Some amazing people choose to purchase their own ticket through Pride, allowing us to staff more volunteers. You will get all the same volunteer benefits either way.

Mandatory Training Options: All volunteers must attend one 45 min training session, Zoom or in-person.

* New non--rope Tops, are required to attend an in-person training session. Rope Tops will be vetted by Rope Coordinator and attend a separate training.

Volunteer positions are 5.5 hour shifts with a 30 min break. Snacks, drinks, private restrooms and sunscreen provided for volunteers ON SHIFT. You will be invited to our Volunteer Appreciation Party after Pride where we shower you with food, drinks, raffle prizes and fun.

Positions Available: *Duties listed are split between assigned volunteers*

Door:  Check ID for EVERY visitor, Count people as they enter or exit (using clicker), Check bags for alcohol, drugs or weapons, Check for dress code violations, Say NO to people who may not want to hear it.

Security:  Guard at emergency exits, check wristbands for hospitality entrance, scan area visually for possible issues and report as needed. These may include medical issues, smoking, drinking, sex, nudity, unruly behavior.

Hospitality: Provide water and sunscreen to volunteers, Restock snack area/beverages, Maintaining cleanliness of hospitality area, coordinate with Pride for ice and water.
                                                                     
Info/Toy Table:  Answer questions about equipment, toys, clubs, groups etc. Check out Toys to Players as needed, handle Leather Realm Merch Sales, make sure no one climbs the picture equipment, check in and band volunteers.

Barker: Stand near donation bin and ask every visitor if they would like to donate. *This job is VITAL as our entire Realm is funded by donations. People don’t usually give unless asked.*

Ambassador: Initiate conversations with ANY/ALL visitors watching the play. Ask if they would like to try it. Answer questions. Bring willing participants to tops.

Cleaner: Clean equipment between guests, refill cleaning supplies as needed.

Floater: You will be doing a little of ALL the Greeter positions (barker, ambassador, cleaner) as you cover lunch breaks and fill in as needed.

Player: Negotiate with visitors, demonstrate 101 LEVEL BDSM for guests (spanking, flogging, rope, electricity, canes, paddles, bondage chair, sensation play, etc) without leaving marks. Be respectful of all guests, always get consent, do not accept tips, do not try to date any visitor, do not allow nudity, direct people to club/org booths as needed.

Load in: Thursday before pride at 5:00pm in the Encanto area. Load Uhaul with all Leather Realm Equipment.

Set-up: Friday before Pride at Balboa Park 9am (a few 2pm spots will be accepted). Unload uhaul, lay out carpeting, set up equipment, fencing, signage, tables, chairs, DM kits, cleaning materials, audio equipment, emergency supplies, hospitality area, pop-ups, etc.

Tear Down:  Sunday at 6pm at Leather Realm. Take down fencing, equipment, signs, pop-ups, chairs, tables, dispose of carpet, repack uhaul, etc. Make sure area is left clean.

Unload: Sunday approximately 10:30pm in the Encanto area. Unload uhaul and pack items into garage.
