Welcome to the Religious Education Program for children and youth at Saltwater Unitarian Universalist Church.
As we return to in-person church, and explore multi-platform church (online and in-person), our offerings for children, youth, and families will continue evolve.
Our current offerings:
Active Worship Space: For those who need a more active or hands-on worship experience,
people of all ages are welcome to participate in the Welcome
Room, where we will have activities related to the morning’s worship
theme. Childcare is available for families who would prefer that, and children and youth are also welcome to worship with their families in the
sanctuary. Youth are encouraged to volunteer as ushers, greeters,
worship leaders, tech support, or to help with the children if they are interested.
Middle and High School Youth (grades 6-12):
Youth will meet for social events several times a month.
The Youth Group works with adult advisors to plan programs which include personal sharing, discussion of religious and ethical issues, guest speakers from other religions and from the community, service projects, participation in district youth conferences, and worship. This year youth will explore the monthly church-wide themes.
Our Whole Lives (OWL): Comprehensive sexuality education classes will be held jointly with Westside UU Church for youth in grades 7-9. The class schedule will be available soon.
Parent Group: Our online parent support group meets 1st and 3rd Mondays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. See the church newsletter for the current meeting link.
Visitors: We welcome visitors to our RE program! We do request that you complete a visitor registration form when you visit so that we have all the information we need to best serve your family, and that you register your child(ren) for RE if you plan to attend regularly.
Already registered? If you registered your child(ren) in a previous year, please complete a registration update at the start of each new year.
