Parent Need Number THREE - I can step up to take over the administration of the Marching Band Uniforms.  This is ideally a 2-3 year commitment and would include passing on routines and processes onto another parent at the end of your time in the position.  This is overseeing the process - others will help, but we need one in charge.   *
Parent Need Number FOUR - I can assist in the administration of the Marching Band Uniforms.  Aspects can include: sizing, fitting, ironing, cleaning, help on contest or game days, inventory, follow-up care, student training, and/or others. *
Parent Need Number FIVE - I can administrate the parent volunteers who move marching band equipment at the football games and contests.  Includes knowing where everything should go (attending some practices), understanding the needs to get equipment moved, soliciting parent assistance in moving equipment.  Mechanically oriented persons will have an easier time (emergency repair, jury rigging, creative thinking), but any parent could learn how to make this work.  This is an IMPORTANT position and does require some accountability (potential penalty points at contests, delays in half time schedules). *

Parent Need Number SEVEN - I can Assist with the MANAGEMENT of meals for the marching band at contests.  Includes creating a budget that will feed healthy meals to 55 students at 6-15 adults.  Can include: soliciting donations or discounts from businesses, communicating with the boosters for purchasing, working to provide accommodations for allergies and vegetarian options, coordinating parent volunteers to aid in the preparation and serving of the meals, and communicate with contest coordinators on locating appropriate serving locations. Audra Johnson-Brown has this on lock, but needs to hand it off this year. *

Parent Need Number NINE - I can SERVE concessions for the September 15 Douglas County Marching Showcase.  Each band provides two parents, you will be allowed to step out to watch the CV performance.  We do need 2 volunteers! *

Parent Need Number TEN - I can administrate/coordinate sales for a discount card for CV Athletic events - Designed for parents to get reduced tickets to CV athletic events.  The band gets 75% of the proceeds.  Cards have been ordered/printed, approved and ready to go.  Arrange to sell at games and events. Sell to band parents. Account for money and turn into the school. *

Parent Need Number ELEVEN I can coordinate and man a table at the December 11 Feeder Festival to provide information to elementary and middle school parents about the CV Band to promote better transition and parental involvement at CV. *

Parent Need Number THIRTEEN I can organize the 9th annual 8th grade banquet to help incoming students be informed about the CV Band Program.  Arrange for meal donations from parents, arrange for student and parent participation (advocacy and information).  Make invitations to be distributed to ALL CRMS, Aspen View and Academy 8th grade band students. *

Parent Need Number FOURTEEN I can organize the parent responses to this form and remind the parents when their event/responsibility is coming up. *

Parent Need Number FIFTEEN I can ASSIST with the administration of the CBA Concert Band Festival.  Check in bands, deal with CBA officials/judges,  insure proper behavior of our students. Enjoy hanging out with the best kids around! (need 2-4 adults) *

Parent Need Number SIXTEEN I can administrate the SPRING GALA.  This is a big job, but it should be a job of delegation rather than doing everything yourself.  Coordinate decorations, facilitate the catering, table rentals and place setting rentals.  Monitor ticket sales and adapt rental and catering needs. *

Parent Need Number SEVENTEEN I can organize the decorations the SPRING GALA.  We have a lot of decorations that we have purchased over the last few years.  Those with an artistic eye and flare for the gourmet may want to volunteer.  Of course, you would work with the band boosters to insure appropriate budget and environment is created. *

Parent Need Number EIGHTEEN I can organize the SILENT AUCTION for the SPRING GALA.  This is a BIG job and you MUST be able to delegate some duties and organize parent/student help.  Coordinate the business and family donations for presentation at the Gala. *
