Any teacher registering for a Wetlands Discovery Program under the label “MAIN CONTACT” on the registration form assumes the responsibility of scheduling the program in its entirety. It is the Main Contact’s responsibility to notify appropriate staff (including custodians) and reserve the cafeteria at the school. The program is scheduled well in advance, so please take note of any events (i.e. picture day, testing dates, special breakfasts, etc.) that would interfere with reserving a large enough space at the school, prior to registering for specific dates*.

In the event the Main Contact will no longer be at the school for the program, please designate a new Main Contact and notify the Education Programs Coordinator as soon as possible.

SCVAS reserves the right to cancel and reschedule a field trip due to bad weather.

The program contains curricula materials ALL teachers need to cover prior to the program. By registering for the program, the Main Contact assumes the responsibility that all curricula will be covered in all classes in order for the students to successfully complete the program.

*We understand things get scheduled last minute, schedules are shifted, etc. But if you are able to book a date around schedules you know will happen, i.e. testing is usually the 2nd week of May, please do not book a program around that time.

It is SCVAS' intention to allow every student the equal opportunity to learn and complete the program in its entirety. SCVAS will cover all necessary requirements in detail with all teachers in pre-program a meeting. A designated staff member is always on hand to answer program questions or issues.

In the event that a school is found at fault for any reason, the school will undergo a review and may lose all Early Bird Registration privileges for the following school year.
