Orchestra Leadership Council Application
Below is the application for the Orchestra Leadership Council.  APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, APRIL 26TH.  Please answer all questions in full.  The 2024-2025 Orchestra Leadership council will be made up of 10 students who will work together to accomplish the following goals:  

CONCERT DAY: Logistics, organization, stage set up and break down, overnight instrument storage.

MPA DAY: Collection of music binders, rosin, rockstops, and bass stools prior to travel, loading of items onto and off of the bus, keeping track of all DPHS items at destination school.

LIBRARY: Scan music into the class Google folder for students to access via their digital devices, file unorganized music and books, keep class binders and method books in proper locations. 

INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE: Weekly cleaning of instruments (dust and polish), change strings, perform basic instrument repairs.

SOCIAL MEDIA- Maintain the DPHS Orchestra social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook) with weekly photos and stories of student progress and learning activities, success stories, Student of the Week, Senior Spotlight, Brookdale/Harbor Chase recitals, MPA/S&E/All-County/All-State results and stories, concert photos, and other pertinent events.

FAIR SHARE, OBLIGATIONS, & TICKET SALES- Document members' Fair Share payments, communicate with students about payment reminders, maintain ledger for obligations list for media center, manage sale of tickets at concerts.

BIRTHDAY BOARD- Update the physical birthday board in classroom, maintain birthday posts on social media.  

CONTRIBUTE- As a council, meet weekly with the director to brainstorm ideas for t-shirts, hoodies, fundraisers, community performances, and other items as needed, as well as clean the room and perform maintenance duties.
