Virtual Learning for 21-22
Bloomingdale Families,
This year Bloomingdale will offer both in person and a virtual option for students. This year, virtual will look COMPLETELY different than last year. Virtual will be offered through a third party. It will NOT be taught by Bloomingdale teachers. It is the recommendation of Bloomingdale Public Schools, that all learners return to in-person learning. For this school year, if you choose the virtual option you will be required to sign a contract when choosing virtual.
Some important things to consider:
Virtual will NOT be taught by Bloomingdale Teachers
Students choosing virtual are agreeing to stay in virtual learning the entire semester. Students will not be allowed to transfer back and forth between in-person and virtual.
It is 100% online & there is a large time commitment each day. (See details in the contract).
Internet must be provided by the parent/guardian
Parent/Guardian must attend the required training (Aug. 30th for Grades 6-12 @6pm) (Aug. 31st for Grades K-5 @6pm)
Any parent/guardian considering the virtual option is Strongly Encouraged to attend the Virtual Learning Meeting on August 24th at 7:15pm in the HS Auditorium. A copy of the complete contract will be available at the meeting.
All interested individuals MUST fill out the attached form by Monday, Aug. 23rd.
