Event Description

Do you often have to present your work, ideas, and progress, but dread it? This workshop will encourage graduate students to embrace using their voice. Through a series of exercises, we will practice preparing for public speaking and addressing the emotions that come with it. Additionally, this workshop will cover tips and tricks for memorization, reading off of a script, and connecting with an audience. By the end, participants will have tools to help them speak with clarity and confidence.

Speaker: Audra Koscik, Communications Specialist at UW's Center for Health Disparities Research (CHDR)
